The Social Media Manager is a key member of ISEP’s Marketing team, supporting ISEP’s efforts to build awareness and generate demand with its target audiences. The incumbent is an exceptional copy writer with a strong background generating, publishing, and monitoring the effectiveness of content across multiple social media platforms, the organization’s blog, and other communications channels.
The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, engaging in cross-departmental interaction with ISEP staff and serving as a resource for effective social media use within a business context. The position is charged with generating new and innovative content to build ISEP’s community as well as awareness and demand for ISEP programs.
External: Member institutions, study abroad directory representatives, prospective university students, current ISEP students and alumni. Internal: Chief Marketing Officer, Digital Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer, Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships, Student Engagement Team, Member Relations Team, and the IT team.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Design and execute a social media strategy that is aligned with the organization’s brand identity, multiple target audiences, and lead generation goals •Own the ISEP blog and manage all ISEP social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.) and campaigns to reach and generate demand from target audiences •Build an editorial calendar, develop new campaigns, and manage current ones that encourage our ISEP community to share their passion and excitement about ISEP’s study abroad programs •Recommend and generate content aligned with the organization’s brand and target audiences as well as strategic marketing and communications objectives •Manage ISEP Voices Blogger program and curate photos and Instagram account •Regularly analyze and report on campaign performance to the CMO and other key constituents •Monitor and respond as needed to third-party reviews •Source or create engaging graphics to accompany blog and social media posts •Establish third-party relationships that result in cross-promotion of ISEP content •Maintain ISEP program content in third-party study abroad directories such as Terra Dotta •Assist with website content, press releases, and support for ISEP events as needed
•5+ years of work experience in social media strategy and analytics •Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, marketing, communications, or related field •Experience writing and publishing content and analyzing data utilizing content marketing software and social media tools •Quantifiable experience in growing the audience of a blog and its corresponding social networks •Strong proficiency in how to write in AP Style with exceptional copyediting skills •Experience in higher education desirable •Video editing skills and graphic design skills a plus
