The IT Enterprise Project Manager reports to the SVP and CIO and oversees and coordinates strategic projects for MAA. Primary responsibilities include providing project management subject matter expertise for scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, and facilitation; making presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.

Duties and Responsibilities
Modifies and improves the project intake, approval and project prioritization processes. Enhances the approval criteria for which projects will be prioritized.
Modifies and improves the existing reporting processes and deliverables used to convey timelines, status, risks, issues, etc. for approved projects.
Partners with IT, business leadership and other key stakeholders to identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (return on investment, productivity, compliance, etc.)
Serves as a point of contact for escalations, resource concerns, project collisions and competing priorities.
Monitors and reports on the progress and changes to the project scope, schedule, costs and impact to the business case to the Executive Leadership Committee.
Participates in the project risk analysis. Ensures people, process and technology change risks have been considered for all strategic projects.
Confirms controls are considered for all projects. Work with Internal Audit and Legal resources to ensure compliance-related controls are considered and implemented.
Communicates and leads at multiple organizational levels and works in cross functional areas by applying understanding the needs and requirements across the organization.
Communicates and leads projects for multiple organizational levels and across functional areas with an understanding of agreed upon business needs and requirements.
Serves as a liaison between project team members, business partners and technical resources.
Assists the project sponsor, as needed, with project scope, budget and determining ROI.
Facilitates post-project reviews to capture learning for future projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of study and 7+ years of experience leading multiple organizational wide projects are required.
Experience with establishing a Project or Program Management Office preferred
Master’s degree in business or a related field preferred
Experience with formal project management methodologies and tools preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of formal project management strategies, methodologies, and tools
Leadership and management skills to develop, coach and direct the performance of a team
Executive presence with which to interact and influence at all levels of the organization
Skill and ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing to convey complex concepts clearly and logically
Critical thinking and analytical skills, including the capacity to identify, assess and prioritize competing interests and needs

Skill and ability to strategically execute within a fast-paced and complex environment
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and attention to detail applied to problem analysis and solution development
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain appropriate discretion
