The Leasing Manager is an exciting position to hold within MAA. The primary duties are to oversee all leasing, marketing and customer service activities at the assigned property. Some of the important job functions are to assist with the training and development of leasing consultants as well as compiling and maintaining resident prospect information. Often the Leasing Manager is the first contact a prospective resident will have with one of our 160+ apartment communities. As the first impression of the community, it is important for the Leasing Manager to understand the value of strong customer service, sales techniques and how to overcome objections. Flexibility to adapt to a varied work schedule, including weekends, after hours and some holidays is required.

Must have above average verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills and software knowledge, preferably MRI.
Skilled in the use of sales techniques, closing techniques and how to overcome objections.
Open to cross-training with co-workers.
Excellent organization skills.
Knowledge of industry legal requirements, especially related to federal and local Fair Housing Laws.
High School Diploma and One year leasing experience required. Computer experience required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. College coursework completed in the pursuit of a degree is also preferred. CAM or NALP certification.
Experience over a leasing and/or marketing function.
