The Senior Systems Support Engineer is responsible for the care and maintenance of all corporate systems and data center operations. The Senior Support Engineer will also assist in providing technical support to the end users of Alliance Residential Company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
a) Responsible for support calls/e-mails from Alliance communities and corporate staff
b) Responsible for day-to-day operation and maintenance of internetworking hardware and software
c) Will perform root-cause analysis on recurring problems related to the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
d) Duties will also include assisting with Windows systems administration for a variety of business applications
e) Candidate will also be proficient with the administration of Active Directory and Office 365
f) Candidate will help evaluate and recommend software as needed for enterprise servers and desktops
g) Responsible for virtual machine infrastructure and administration
h) Monitors and maintains corporate backup systems
i) Monitor and setup remote connections to satellite offices
j) Enforce policies and procedures regarding the use of company materials
k) Maintain all aspects of desktop support including:
a. Handle level one computer support phone calls
b. Manage computer inventory
c. Troubleshoot and repair desktops
d. Perform additional duties as assigned by Director of Technology

Essential Technical Skills:
Candidate must have knowledge and expertise of networking concepts including routing, subnets and firewalls.Experience installing and supporting Windows-based applications (Microsoft, Adobe, etc).
Must have knowledge and expertise in the provision, deployment, support, and maintenance of Windows servers in a large organization.
Knowledge and expertise with Active Directory, LDAP, and DNS.
Proficient in the administration of Microsoft Exchange.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Prior experience working with LogMeIn products desired
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7 and higher
Experience with Anti-Virus protection and elimination
Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to identify the root cause of problems and provide solutions
Typing and data entry skills
Exceptional follow up skills.
