Learning & Design Specialist
This position is responsible for analyzing learning needs; performing instructional design for In-person, Web-based, and blended learning solutions; designing effective and efficient end-user materials, managing the Learning Management System (Grace Hill LMS) and supporting department initiatives with a primary focus on residential communities and corporate associates.
Working with various internal/external subject matter experts to create learning modules for a variety of delivery methods (in-person, virtual, self-paced), web-based training sessions, instructor-led training guides, participant workbooks and supporting materials following an instructional design process that brings together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate Waterton associates on systems, standards, processes and professional (soft) skills.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and colleagues on learning strategies to drive business results and understand content, systems and processes.
Identify training needs and the skill sets required for employees to be successful.
Design creative solutions which include a blended approach to learning using both in-person and web-based learning.
Prepare instructional materials, job aids, handouts and visual learning resources.
Create training that engages learners using a variety of design technology (Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, InDesign, SnagIt) and interactive methodology (exercises, assessments, video streaming, gamification, etc.).
Facilitate training programs from time to time.
Lead the administration and associate support for the designated Learning Management System (Grace Hill).
Develop new reporting and evaluation methods to measure the ROI of training.
Bachelor's degree in instructional design (or related field) from a four-year college or university
3-5 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with learning management technology
Experience with design technology (Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, InDesign, SnagIt)
